Michael Joerge Holdren, affectionately known as "Big Mike," passed away on April 6, 2023, in Topeka, Kansas, after courageously battling an illness. Born on February 13, 1988, in Salina, Kansas, Big Mike brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew him throughout his 35 years of life.
Mike was a proud graduate of Seaman High School and went on to pursue his passion for automobiles by obtaining a degree in Auto Mechanics. He was a dedicated and skilled professional, always eager to lend his expertise to friends and family in need of assistance with their vehicles.
Big Mike was a loving and devoted family man, always putting the needs of his loved ones above his own. He is survived by his mother, Jeri Holdren; life and love partner, Amber Godwin; sons, Curtis, Cameron, and Keegan Holdren; daughter, Brooklyn Helmick; nana, Kathy Tatro; brother, Emil Tregellas; sister, Donna Smith (Briar Steward); uncles, George (Mary) Holdren and Brian (Naomi) Tatro; biological father, Henry (Jackie) Fair; and godbrother, David (Kyra) Strait.
He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Barbara Tregellas; great-grandmother, Thelma Holdren; and uncle, Dwight Holdren. Mike's memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the love he shared with his family.
Big Mike had a heart of gold and was always ready to help others in need. His generosity and kindness were apparent to all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "It is not the length of life, but the depth of life." Big Mike may have left this world too soon, but his impact on those around him will be felt for generations to come.
In addition to his family, Mike was also an active member of his community, participating in various events and associations throughout his life. He was known for his contagious laughter, infectious smile, and unwavering loyalty to his friends and loved ones.
Big Mike's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and his memory will serve as a reminder to live each day to its fullest. His family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this difficult time.
