Michael Anthony Colombo, 38, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 after battling brain cancer. Michael was born August 8, 1987 in Topeka, KS, the son of Dana Renee and Jon (Tony) Anthony Colombo. He was a 2005 graduate of Seaman High School in Topeka, KS.
Michael was recently employed by Cabinetry and Millworks and FedEx in Topeka. Michael loved sports, especially his Texas Longhorns and Boston Red Sox. He loved playing video games online with The Boyz, bowling with his dad, brother and uncle Dustin, playing softball with his buddies and his weekly golfing with his dad and Brian. He loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Charlotte, fiancé Elissa, and children, Roxy, Ella and Ryder, and his nephew Elliot whose nickname for Michael was Uncle Goofball.
His family would like to express their thanks to Whitney and Joe Salts for allowing Charlotte to spend every extra hour of her day with her dad these last few months.
Michael is survived by his mother and father, Dana and Tony, of the home, daughter, Charlotte Colombo, of Topeka, KS, brother, Ryan (Katelyn Gollaher) Colombo and nephew Elliot of Leavenworth, KS, fiancé Elissa Spinelli and children Roxy, Ella and Ryder, of Topeka, KS. He is also survived by: Uncle Darin (Chari) Osterhaus of Topeka, KS and their children Dylan (Hannah) Osterhaus of Lafayette, IN and Shyanne (Sammy) Hogsett of Shawnee, KS; Uncle Dustin (Heather) Osterhaus of Basehor, KS and their children Madi (Brent Mays) Osterhaus of Lansing, KS and Magi (Blake Kastanek) Osterhaus of Basehor, KS; Aunt Sue (Bill) Saric of Meriden, KS and their children, Casi (Mike) Whetstone of Topeka, KS, Jamie Saric of Meriden, KS and Rachel Saric of Scranton, KS. Cousins Jason (Bridget) Colombo of Belton, MO and Nichole (Mark) Smith of Topeka, KS, Amber Colombo and Jordan (Anika) Colombo of Virginia.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Nancy Osterhaus, Jim Colombo, and Dixie Colombo; Uncle’s Bob and Jay Colombo; Cousin’s Cory Saric and Jaryd Osterhaus.
Michael was cremated and his final resting place will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 7, 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Big Gage Shelter House, Gage Park, 600 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka KS 66606. Please wear your favorite sports attire and come share your stories and memories with us.
