Michael Jon Coffman

Michael Jon Coffman passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at the age of 53 from a heart attack. He was born October 28, 1961 in Topeka, Kansas. He attended Lyman Elementary, Logan Junior High and graduated from Seaman High School in 1978. He worked for City Drainage and Forestry Disposalcombined 23 years and enjoyed mowing dikes andoperating heavy equipment.

Michael was a huge sports fan, likedattending Royals and Chief's games and watched any game or team on TV.He also spent many weekends camping and fishing with relatives. Michael enjoyed various types of music, writing lyrics andespecially playing his guitars as a member ofthe Christian Lord Ministries churchband in Topeka. He believed strongly in the Lord and valued the guidance of Teddy Vale, the church minister and friend.

Michael has lived on his brother and wife's farm the past 12 years. He was a great help with the chores, especially anything involving atractor. Heloved all the animals andenjoyed the peace and quiet of nature.

Michael is survived by his brother Larry E. Coffman and Larry's wife Waunita Haug. His nephew Duane Coffman, niece Dawn Coffman and their families, all of Topeka and manymore family members.

Services will be Friday, July 24th at 7 PM at Christian Lord Ministries chapel located at 2421 SE. California Avenue, across fromHighlandPark High School.
