Michael Kevin Allen

Michael K. Allen passed away on June 20, 2026, at Midland Hospice House after a courageous 16-month battle with cancer.

Mike spent many years working in the HVAC industry. He worked on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence and later operated independently, taking on HVAC jobs throughout the area until health issues led to his disability.

Mike was happiest when he was outdoors, whether hunting in the field or fishing by the lake. He never met a stranger and could spend hours talking with anyone willing to listen. Mike was a gifted storyteller, and those who knew him will fondly remember the many stories he shared.

Mike was a devoted member of New Hope Church.

He was born on November 13, 1960, to William "Boyd" Allen and Reva Jean Allen, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Marjorie White.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Tosha Allen and Holly Bergeman (Ryan); his beloved granddaughters, Makayla and Kaydence; and his brother, Ron Allen (Mary).

He also leaves behind his cherished dog, Pooky, who has been lovingly adopted by Mike's pastor and dear friends, Chuck and Lori.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional staff at Midland Hospice House for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Mike during his time there.
