Mary Elizabeth Votaw

Mary Elizabeth Votaw passed away on November 11, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on May 2, 1964, to Ralph and Barbara Votaw.

Mary's life was a testament to the power of love and family. She was the beloved mother of Audry Pulley and Shannon Dukes. As a sister, Mary shared an unbreakable bond with Sandy, Joe, Frank, and Charlie Votaw, each of whom will miss her dearly.

Her role as a grandmother was a role she cherished profoundly. She loved her grandchildren with her entire being. Skylar Langley, Allen McCracken, Colton Langley, Abegail McCracken, Kaylee Langley, and Angela McCracken were the light of her life, and she reveled in every moment with them. Sleepovers were some of her fondest memories with them. The birth of her great-granddaughter, Eliza Langley, added a new depth of joy to Mary's later years. She was also an aunt to Barbara Votaw, Kristi Davin, Charlie Unrein, and Josh Foster, each of whom she loved dearly.

Mary loved cooking and trying new recipes for her family. She loved animals; cats, dogs and cardinals were her favorites. Christmas was one of her favorite times, as she took delight in decorating with Christmas lights and adding to her cherished collection of angels. Yet, it was the time spent with family, especially spoiling her grandchildren, that truly captured the essence of Mary's heart.

Those who knew Mary would describe her as loving, kind and having a feisty spirit. To know her was to love her.

There will be a celebration of life on, Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Redemption Center Church, 1017 NW Gordon Street, Topeka, KS. A light lunch after the service will be provided.
