Marvin Placek

Marvin Placek, 83, passed away peacefully at his home on November 3, 2018. Marvin was the son of Joseph & Alice (Belohlavy) Placek. Marvin was born and raised in the farming communities of Nebraska, served in Japan with the Navy and moved to Topeka with Martin Tractor Company where he retired. He continued his love of farming by helping his brother, Rolland, in Nebraska.

Survivors include wife, Kathleen (Chaloupka) Placek, brothers: Delbert, Eugene, Rolland and Donald. Several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law Mick Shimonek, and Kathy's children: Daniel, Tracy and Scott Lewien.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Diane (Shimonek), and brother, James.

As per Marv's request, he was cremated and no services were held. Memorials may be made to your choice: Midland Hospice or Helping Hands Humane Society, Topeka.
