Marlene F. Rockey, 81, of Topeka KS, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2015. Marlene was born January 20, 1934 in Tecumseh, KS to Henry and Lorena Engelke. She is survived by her son, Bryan (Kristi) Rockey of Topeka, KS; her twin brother, Merle (Anita) Engelke, of Topeka, KS; her sister-in-law, Elsie Engelke, of Wichita, KS; and two grandsons, Christopher and Jacob. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Claude Engelke, of Wichita, KS. Marlene was a graduate of Highland Park High School and attended Washburn University. She retired from the United States Postal Service in 2000, where she proudly served many years. Marlene was a lifelong member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Topeka and the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston Massachusetts. Marlene was sweet and loving, and had a great sense of humor. Her presence will be missed, but her love remains. At her request, no public services are planned.
