Mark Shaler Wright

Mark Shaler Wright, 78, of Topeka, KS passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the House at Midland Care. He was born June 11, 1944, in Abilene, KS the son of Hershel and Edna (Poister) Wright. Mark graduated from Abilene High School and attended Emporia State University. He served in the United States Army being honorably discharged in December of 1971. Mark was an accomplished Finish Carpenter. He is survived by a daughter, Shala Renee, five sisters, Rosmary, Lennis, Merle, Corrine, and Linda. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel, and Edna, along with two brothers, Donald, and Kenneth. Per Marks wishes cremation has taken place. At a later date he will be laid to rest in the Abilene Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mark's memory to Midland Care Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
