Margaret J. "Jeannie" Boyd

1934 – 2016

Margaret J. "Jeannie" Boyd 81, of Topeka, passed away March 13, 2016 at Rossville Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 18, 1934 to Carl Rogers and Margaret (Hansen) Rogers in Minneapolis, KS. Jeannie grew up in Topeka, attended Topeka Public Schools and graduated from Topeka High School.

Jeannie spent most of her adult life working in food management and retail sales. She worked numerous years for Don and Collette Peyton at Peyton Place Liquor in Topeka.

Her hobbies included cooking & collecting owls. She had a great sense of humor & was an accomplished cook. But above all she was a devoted, loving mother and grandma who will be forever in our hearts.

Jeannie is survived by her children, Michael Ward, Vickie Jo Wessel, Randy Clatterbuck (Angie) all of Topeka, KS; Grandchildren, Sarah Drexler (Kenny) and Jason Flickinger; great-grandchildren, Mason Flickinger, Neveah and Konner Drexler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Steven D. Clatterbuck and her sister Winona Calaman.

A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, March 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW Sixth Avenue, Topeka, KS.
