Lyle Raymond Markley

Lyle Raymond Markley passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2020 at the age of 92. He was born July 22, 1927 in Augusta, Ks. On April 11, 1955, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth Fischer. Beth preceded him in death on August 29, 2019.

Lyle worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 38 years.  After retirement, he spent much of his time doing what he loved best, wood working and making creation for friends and family. He was a true craftsman and created tremendous works of art.

He is survived by his son Dan (Heather) Markley and daughter Rhonda (Kent) Lammers.  Their five grandchildren David (Taylor) Lammers, Desiree (Dustin) Heath, Korinna (Scottie) Ghee, Devonny (John) Crawford, Brett Markley and seven great grandchildren.

In accordance with Lyle's wishes, cremation and a private service with immediate family will be held.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggest a donation to helpinghands@hhhstopeka.org.
