Lucille Mae (Phillipson) Nelson, aged 94, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016. She was born on October 18, 1921 on a farm, West of Mankato, Kansas. She was the daughter of Iver Oscar Phillipson and Nettie Gavina (Anderson) Phillipson. She was a graduate of Mankato High School, Mankato, Kansas. She was married to Harold J. Nelson on June 6, 1942. They had a son, Mark. She was a homemaker. She was active in Lutheran Church Women for many years. She loved flowers and gardening. After her husbands passing in 2002; she worked as a Tour Guide at the Walter P. Chrysler Boyhood Home and Museum in Ellis Kansas. She found great joy in her Grandaughter, Stephanie and her children…(Triplets) and looked forward to their visits. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years Harold, a sister Ethel, and a brother Orville. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Mark and Charmine, three grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, and numerous neices and nephews. A graveside service will be held at the Ada Lutheran Church Cemetary, Kackley, Kansas on Friday Oct. 7, 2016 at 2 PM. The family requests that rather than sending flowers, memorials be sent in Lucille's name to Grace Hospice.
