Lucien E. Labrecque

Lucien E. LaBrecque, 84, 0f Topeka, KS, died Sunday, January 8, 2023, at his sons home in Hoyt, KS.

He was born September 1, 1938, the son of Silvio and Cecile (Beauregard) LaBrecque.

After graduating high school and at the age of 18 Lucien enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was stationed at the MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa Bay, FL where he met and married June Robinson. Upon being honorably discharged he and June move to Topeka and later they later divorced.

Lucien worked for Ralph Dean, framing houses and at a service station. He later began working for Southwestern Bell where he retired as a Systems Technician. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, going to car shows and proudly driving one of his street rods on cruse nights.

Lucien is survived by a son, Randy LaBrecque of Hoyt, a grand-daughter, Bailey Ridgway and two great-gransons, Ayden and Kayson.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 until 6:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the former restaraunt located at 113 E 4th Street, Hoyt, KS.
