Lori was born September 27, 1963 in Topeka, Kansas, to John Alvin Terry and Esther Lucille Terry. Lori peacefully went home to be with the Lord on October 18, 2016 at Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas.

Lori Terry and Shawn Harris first got together in the summer of 1986. Shawn immediately began helping Lori to raise her two sonsRyan Lloyd Grimmer and Daniel Ray Grimmerfrom a previous marriage, just as if they were his own. Lori and Shawn were united in Holy Matrimony on June 23, 1992. They lived in Topeka for most of their entire marriage. From this Sacred union they had a son Shane Morgan Harris.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents John and Esther Terry. Lori was also preceded in death by her two older brothers, John Wallace and Mike Terry.

Lori is survived by her husband Shawn Harris and son Shane Harris both of Topeka.

Eldest son, Ryan Grimmer and his wife Michelle made Lori a happy Grandmother when they had two wonderful children Joel and Hannah. They all live in Claremore Oklahoma. Lori first became a grandmother on September 12, 2001. Next to oldest son Daniel Ray Grimmer lives in Texas.

Lori is also survived by two older brothers, Dennis Terry, Topeka and Joe Terry, Fayetteville Arkansas. Lori is also survived by three older sisters, Kathy Fleck, Pittsburg Kansas, Barbara Peralta and Lisa Ortiz, both of Topeka.

Lori went to Highland Park high school. She attended Washburn University and went to work for the YWCA, Kansas Children's Service League, Washburn University, Aramark, Brewster Place and Maximus. She loved working with a variety of people and she thoroughly enjoyed the challenges and especially the satisfaction that came from her work at Washburn University and with Maximus. She loved her family and the Lord Jesus Christ most of all. Her greatest desire was to give Him glory and to see her family in heaven.
