Lonnie Leroy Gilbert

Lonnie LeRoy Gilbert, Sabetha, Kansas was born on October 5, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas. He left this earth on December 3, 2022 at the age of 68.

He was the oldest of 7 children born to Alvin and Ethel Phillips Gilbert. Lonnie is survived by his sisters, Connie Eppens (Steve), Salem, Nebraska, Debbie Hewitt (Randy), Topeka, Kansas, and Teresa Gilbert, Sabetha, Kansas, brothers Robert Gilbert, Sabetha, Kansas, and Gary Gilbert (Carolyn), Fairview, Kansas. He is also survived by his sons David and Daniel Gilbert, Canyon City, Colorado. Other survivors include grandchildren Audrey Gilbert, Emilie Gilbert, Quentin Gilbert, Jacob Long and great grandson Breydon Brady. He was pre-deceased by his father Alvin Gilbert, mother, Ethel Gilbert, sister Peggy Heideman, and his daughter Lisa Long. He was loved by many friends and family. He left behind numerous friends who helped care for him throughout the years. He will be greatly missed.

Services will be Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Church of the Brethren in Sabetha, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Albany Cemetery in Sabetha, Kansas.
