Lois Jean Jones Visser Ulrich, 69, of Topeka, Kansas. Passed away September 1, 2018 at the Aldersgate Village hospice room in Topeka, Kansas after a long bout of chronic illness. Born in Abilene, Texas on February 9, 1949, the daughter of Virginia Jones Crider. Lois and her husband, James, resided in Topeka for 16 years.

She worked as a LPNC in home healthcare and local hospitals. She was a Jehovah's Witness that enjoyed many volunteer activities. Many knew her to be a generous soul with a gracious and adventurous spirit. Her joys were making beautiful crafts, jewelry to share with friends, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Tending to her plants and gardens was also a great passion of hers. Everywhere she lived she displayed that gift. Most recently she had been on the painting team for the mural at the Brown vs. Board of Education building.

She was married to James Ulrich on February 14, 1994. Previously, she had been married to Gordon Visser from 1967 to 1985.

She is the mother of 5 children: Laura (Robert) Anderson of Foley, AL, Gary (Terri) Visser of Manhattan, KS, Daniel Visser of Copperas Cove, TX, Rodney (Sady) Visser of Harvest, AL, Melissa (Ryan) Hampton of Columbia, MO. She is the grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 3.

Her siblings are Milton (Jeanne) Jones of Kansas City, MO, Mary (James) Wemhoff of Columbus, NE, Robert Jones (unknown), Dorothy Aguilara-Black Bear (Kashnapi) of Pierre, SD.

She left a large group of loving friends and coworkers in Topeka, Clay Center, Manhattan, Abilene, Junction City and elsewhere.
