Lloyd William Brandenburg, 68, of Topeka, KS passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022, in the comfort of his home with his loved ones at his bedside.
He was born February 15, 1954, in Topeka the son of John and Mary (Collier) Brandenburg.
From 1981 until 1993 he lived in Rockport, TX where he worked construction and was the Fire Chief for the Copano Cove Volunteer Fire Department. He was involved working in construction his entire life and could build just about anything from the ground up. During his years working in construction, he became a very accomplished heavy machinery operator, his passion was running the machines. In his spare time, he liked to ride his motorcycle. He loved all his family and friends with every fiber of his being and would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He married Donna Taylor on December 15, 1973. She preceded him in death in 2004. He later married Diane Honeyman. She survives of the home. He is also survived by three daughters, Shannon Ochoa, Kristen (Josh) Robson, Autumn Robinson, his mother, Mary Brandenburg, brother Ferlan Brandenburg, and a sister Laura Brandenburg. Three granddaughters, Kimberly Halseth, Aria Robson, Jaxyn Whitehead, five great-grandchildren, Bentley Halseth, Emmett Halseth, Lucas Halseth, Spencer Halseth and Paislee Halseth also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, John Brandenburg, a sister, Brenda Mason, a brother John Brandenbrg and his first wife, Donna Brandenburg,
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lloyd's memory to Helping Hands Human Society.
