Linda Lou Hoffman was born in Concordia, KS on January 26, 1948. She grew up on a farm Southeast of Haddam, KS and attended schools in Haddam and Washington, KS.
On July 17, 1965, she married Paul David McAvoy in Washington, KS. They moved to Delhi, IA when Paul was working on building an elevator. From there, they transferred to Warren, IL and then to Burlington, IA.
Their first two children, Paul Jr. and George were born in Burlington. The family stayed there for five years before moving to Maine. Their third son Martin was born in Maine.
Linda, her husband and three sons moved from Maine to Kansas in 1970 when Paul began picking up and delivering cattle for a farmer who had a large feedlot.
In 1971 their only daughter, Rhonda Elaine was stillborn.
In 1972 the family moved back to Maine and their fourth son Shayne was born in 1973. In 1976 Linda went back to school and received her diploma from Bucksport High School.
The family lived outside of Bucksport until 1983 when they moved back to Kansas. Upon returning to KS, Linda completed a semester at Flint Hills Vo-Tech majoring in Office Technology. After receiving her diploma she worked for Birch Telecom from 1989 until 1999, when she retired.
Her husband Paul David McAvoy, Sr. died in 2009 and their firstborn son Paul, Jr. died in 2004.
Linda Married Ronald Warren Wilson on June 1, 2012. They lived in Fall River, KS and then in Hartford, KS.
Those proceeding Linda in death are her mom and dad, her little sister Ramona Elaine, husbnd Paul Sr., son Paul Jr, daughter Rhonda Elaine and three great-grandchildren.
Survivors include husband Ron, sons George, Martin and Shayne, brothers Vern, Pete (Elmer), Delbert and Joseph, sisters Mary, Bertha, Zelda and Reba, step-children Michael and Ashlee, 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made in her name to Hand-in-Hand Hospice, Emporia, KS.
Services will held Monday April 11th at 11:00 am… Hartford United Methodist Church
Linda's final message to her family was to please love one another as I have loved you all.
