Kimberly Gene Terhune

Kimberly Gene Terhune of Maple Hill, Kansas, passed away on May 13, 2025. She was born on July 17, 1960, in Topeka, Kansas, the beloved daughter of the late Lois and Les Kelly.

Kim graduated from Topeka High School, class of 1978. She continued her education at Washburn University, where she was a proud member of Delta Gamma sorority and was honored with the title of Miss Ichabod, a recognition of her school spirit and involvement.

Throughout her life, Kim balanced her time between family and work. She held a variety of retail positions over her career. She also cherished her years as a stay-at-home mom, dedicating herself fully to raising her sons and supporting her family.

Of all her roles, being "Grandma" was the one Kim treasured most. She adored her granddaughters Hadley, Tessa, and Riley. Whether it was attending their activities or simply enjoying time together, her granddaughters were truly the light of her life.

Kim is survived by her husband, Randy Terhune; her sons AJ (Sarah) Terhune and Andy (Jayna) Terhune; and her beloved grandchildren Hadley, Tessa, and Riley Terhune.

A private ceremony will be held to honor Kim's life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st Street,Topeka,KS 66604, an organization close to Kim's heart, reflecting her lifelong love of animals.
