Keith Michael Truesdell

Keith Michael Truesdell, 54 died Monday, July 10th in Topeka. He was born Aug. 1st, 1962 in Maryland. Most of his adult life has been spent in Topeka where he worked as a residential painter and a member of the KS National Guard, 714th Maint. Co 3rd Platoon. He is survived by his two daughters, Kaitlyn and Mikayla Truesdell. Keith was proceeded in death by his parents Richard and Jeanne Truesdell, sisters Sandy Alaniz and Michaeleen Huddle and his former wife Kim Keefe Truesdell.

Keith loved his family first and foremost. Especially the love he had for his kids. Keith was the kind of dad who always went out of his way for his kids no matter what kind of limitations he had. Due to his health, he lived a hard life but he didn't complain much and always found a way to not take life so seriously. He had a great sense of humor and always knew when to crack a joke. He enjoyed the simple things in life such as listening to music, placing bets at the casino, drinking a cold one, eating good food and always finding a way to have a good time. He loved and cherished all his friends and could start a conversation with anyone. He always saw the best in others and always tried to help others in need. He was a generous and kind hearted father, brother and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held at Colmery-O'Neil VA Chapel Building 23 located at 2200 SW Gage Boulevard Topeka, KS 66622 on Friday, July 14th from 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations in his name may be left at the celebration service or sent in care of Kaitlyn Truesdell.

A special thanks to the fast acting nurses at the Topeka Gage Fresenius Kidney Care Center. A special thanks to the St. Francis Health Center Intensive Care Unit Doctors and Nurses who took such great care of Keith during the last few days of his life. Also, special thanks to Midwest Cremation for helping our family through this difficult time.
