Kathleen Jo Arbogast

Kathleen J. Arbogast, known affectionately as Kathie to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2023, in Topeka, KS, at the age of 80. Born on May 11, 1943, in Laurinburg, NC, Kathie's vibrancy and warmth brought light and joy to all who knew her throughout her remarkable life.

Kathie was a proud graduate of Topeka High School, where she formed many lifelong friendships and developed a love for learning that stayed with her throughout her life. After graduation, she dedicated her time to raising her family and later delighted in her role as a grandmother.

She is survived by her loving son, Jody Arbogast, and her devoted daughter, Crystal Jones. Kathie was a cherished grandmother to Austin Arbogast and Isaac Lewis, who will miss her dearly. Her love, guidance, and humor were the cornerstones of their family, and her presence will be profoundly missed.

An avid lover of music, Kathie could often be found humming a tune or dancing to her favorite songs. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as playing bingo with her friends and spending quality time with her family. Kathie's passion for music and joyous activities were infectious, and she always succeeded in making those around her smile.

Kathie's character was defined by her loving nature, kindness, and the unique sense of humor that endeared her to all. She had a remarkable ability to light up a room with her laughter and to make anyone feel welcome and loved.
