Remembering a life of a loving Mother, Grandmother, Food Enthusiast and Servant to Jehovah. Karen DeClerck of Topeka, KS fell asleep in death on July 14, 2022, at the vivacious age of 46. She will e remembered for her contagious smile and her doting love for her children and grandchildren.
Karen was born o her Mother, Inell Sowell, (Deceased), and Father, Melvin Sowell, in Kansas City, KS. Karen is survived by her three children Dominic Allen, Ciera Allen, and David Hamuud, and her three grandchildren, , Amelyana Allen, James Jacobson, and Zay'liana Jacobson. Karen was the fifth child in the life of eight siblings. She leaves behind Sherry Hullum, Gwyndell DeClerck, Phillip DeClerck, Karita DeClerck, LaCreisha Sowell, Alfonzo Sowell, Tayvon Robinson-Bey, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins for whom she loved.
Karen was a fraught with many challenges in her life. She battled with metal illness and a debilitating heart condition that robbed her of life. However, Karen's tenacity proved to be unyielding in her goal to become a baptized servant of Jehovah God. On April 5, 2021, Karen was baptized. This marked a pivotal moment in her life. On her final day, Karen participated in the early-morning ministry work; she attended the weekly Theocratic meeting, and she preached about Jehovah's kingdom to all her loved ones. Karen's love and dedication of Jehovah were displayed up to her final breath. She was a fine example of faith in God's kingdom for us all.
