Julie Kisler

Julie Kisler was born October 31, 1970 to LeAnn Darling Kisler and Robert Paul Kisler in Peoria, IL.

Julie and her older brother Allen and LeAnn moved to Topeka, KS in 1984. Julie graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1988 and did her undergraduate work at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS., graduating in 1992 with a degree in Education with a minor in early childhood development.

Her working career centered on Early Childhood Learning Centers in Topeka and Junction City. Most recently she served as director of the YMCA of Topeka Childcare Center.

Her death was from pancreatic cancer. Julie asked for a Celebration of Life and it was held at Midland Hospice in February. More than 100 attended and everyone released purple balloons into the sky.

Her hands touched many lives. She believed that a good solid foundation was needed to succeed in life. She worked with the whole family to keep them involved in the learning process.

Surviving Julie are her mother, father, and brother.
