Julie Ann Eaton, 66, of Topeka, passed away on March 13, 2026, following a short battle with cancer. Her daughter and niece were by her side. Julie was born in Topeka on November 7, 1959. A lifelong resident, she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas for 35 years, retiring in 2019. She had many hobbies, including quilting, rock hunting, crossword puzzles, and birdwatching, maintaining a long lifetime list of sightings. She also loved her dogs, Oreo and Hope.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Marge of Topeka; her grandparents; and her sister, Ann.
Julie is survived by her daughter, Traci Stephens (Adana); granddaughter, Carley Woods; sister, Sue Eaton (Curt Shaw); nephews Cody Beatty (Deb) and John Beatty (Jessica); and niece Angel Shaw (Steven Rich). She also leaves behind many great-nieces and great-nephews, along with many dear friends and family.

A memorial will be held April 3, 2026, at Lake Shawnee Shelter House Number 6 at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Julie’s name to the Topeka Rescue Mission Street Team or Helping Hands Humane Society.
