Judy Ann Vetter, 75, of Meriden, Kansas, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023.
Born in Poughkeepsie, New York to Fredrick and Juanita (Beasimer) Cookingham on May 4, 1947, Judy was raised and educated in the small city along with her four brothers James, Frederick, David, and Jay; as well as her sister Ginger.
While in New York, Judy met her future husband, Edward Vetter whom she married in 1968. In 1972, they had and lost their first child. In 1974, daughter Miranda was born in Scottsdale, Arizona. By 1976, they had moved and settled in Topeka, Kansas, and had their third child, Edward, and fourth child, Jody who was born in 1986.
Judy worked as a Veterinary Technician and then financial Manager but her career was living life through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, enjoying a Chiefs Game, listening to music, crafting, gardening and, most importantly, crocheting.
