The event will include sharing of stories and culminate with a celebration of life at the Grinter House (1420 S 78th Street) in Kansas City, Kansas from 12 PM to 4 PM.
Her love of flowers and gardening showed in her countless hours spent in the dirt. She worked for Mason Greenhouse for many years, was a lunch lady at Muncie Grade School and used her sewing skills to manage her own costume shop. There was nothing that could stop her and nothing she would not try. Without much formal education her dedication to figuring something out outweighed her lack of spell check.
She genuinely loved nature and spent many years with her family touring this beautiful country. A trait she passed onto us all. She was a friend to animals; especially those that belonged on a farm or in the wild. She famously had a donkey, turkeys, ducks, gerbils, a cockatoo and one beautiful pig.
Friendships were held dear for decades, never being anyone but herself. She was always true. There was no person in her life unworthy of special attention, whether it was wanted or not. She always had a personal gift or joke for everyone. You will be missed mom.
