Judy Kay Ross, passed away on September 13, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas, at the age of 69.
Judy's early years were spent in Oklahoma. Judy returned to Topeka, where she remained for the rest of her life. She devoted many years to a career in restaurant service, where her work ethic and bright spirit touched countless customers and coworkers.
Judy's love for her family was immeasurable. She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Dalsing; son-in-law, Shannon Short; and her beloved grand-people, Khale Dalsing-Short, Dakota Dalsing-Short, and Dallas Dalsing, who affectionately called her "Hammah." She is also survived by her brothers, Thomas Ross III and Richard Ross, as well as many nieces and nephews.
An avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, you could always hear her yelling at the TV rooting for a win. She also had a lifelong love of Elvis Presley. Her love for Elvis was well-known, proudly collecting Elvis memorabilia.
Judy will be remembered for her quick wit and playful sense of humor. Judy loved making people laugh. While spending time with her daughter and nieces, she would always do something silly in public just to keep things fun and memorable. Her kindness, generosity, selflessness and ability to bring joy to others will remain her lasting legacy.
As we say goodbye, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was. A celebration of life will be held on November 24, 2025 at 7:00 AM. Location details will be announced at a later date.
