Judith Kay (Stever) Cates, 72, Emporia, formerly of Branson, Missouri, died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Flint Hills Care Center in Emporia. Judy was a Tupperware Dealer for many years.
Judy was born on December 12, 1941 in Eureka, Kansas the daughter of Virgil and Doris (Little) Stever. Survivors include her children, Deborah (Jim) Mullen and of Wichita, Kansas, Bobby Jenkins of Liberty, Missouri, and Jeff (Amy) Jenkins of Highland Village, Texas. Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings: Connie (Larry) Hayes of Emporia, Kansas; Jeanne (Martin) Burtin and Rick (Becky) Stever of Eureka, Kansas; Sally (Greg) Gulick, of Moran, Kansas; Nancy (Ron) Brecheisen and Jim Stever of Hartford, Kansas. Also survived by her ex-husband Jack Cates. She was proceeded in death by her parents; and siblings, Shirley Nicholson, Jerry Stever and Kathy Higbee.
A private family service was held Sunday, August 3, 2014 in Hartford, Kansas.
