John J. Tremblay

John Joseph Tremblay (61) passed away peacefully on August 6, 2020 at Aldersgate Village in Topeka, Kansas. John was born January 11, 1959 in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the son of Helen (Veins) and Joseph "Sonny" Tremblay. He is survived by his father Joseph, sister Helen "Cookie" and brother Harold. He is also survived by his children Ernest "Joe", Richard, Scott, Adam, Jessica, Laura, and Michelle, and 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother Helen, sister Cheryl, and his beloved grandparents.

John graduated from Rhode Island Trades Shop in April 1979. John was a volunteer fire fighter in Danielson, Connecticut, worked at Brooklyn Radiator shop, and operated an autobody shop in Connecticut. John and his family moved to moved to Kansas in 1988. John began his journey in construction for 15 + years, but he was also the king of all manner of home renovation and repair.

John loved classic and muscle cars, fishing, boating, camping, and family time, and he genuinely enjoyed a cold beer by the pool surrounded by family and friends. John also loved all his dogs through the years and was rarely without his loyal companion by his side.  John was the type of man who would have given the shirt off his back and expected nothing in return.

John's children would like to give many heartfelt thanks to the heroes and staff at Aldersgate Village for caring for our father.

At John's request, cremation and a service with the family and close friends will be held at a later date.
