John Edward Davis

John Edward Davis, 93, passed away at home on Thursday 7/13/2023 at midnight.

He was born June 23rd, 1930, in Blaine, KS, the son of Fred A. and Ella Holliday Davis.

John served in the US Army from 1953 until 1955.

After leaving the farm in 1957, John worked for Foremost Dairy for six years then worked for DuPont and retired after 30 years in 1991.

He married Mary Baxter in 1958. She survives at home. John is also survived by two daughters, Teresa (Wayne) Zuehls, of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Cynthia Davis-Nottingham, of Tecumseh, KS, one brother, Gerald Davis, of Rossville, KS. and one sister, Evelyn Davis, of Wakarusa, KS. Two Grandchildren, Travis Zuehls, of Tecumseh, KS, and Amber (Brandon) McGrady, of Bend, Oregon along with two great-grandchildren, Blakely, and Barrett McGrady, of Bend OR also survive. He was proceeded in death by brother Fred in 2003.

Private graveside services with military honors will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka, KS.
