John Bergsten

John Bergsten, Shawnee,Kansas died at Stormont Vail Hospital. On March 8th after an extended illness.

John was born in Stockton,California July 3,1938 To Elwyn H. Bergsten and Eva L. Bergman Bergsten

He grew up in Randolph,Kansas, graduating from Randolph High School in 1956. He graduated from Kansas City General Hospital School of Nursing in 1960 He was employed by General Hospital for 24 years. He worked many more years in Geropsychiatric Nursing retiring in 2012 from Research Hospital, KC,MO.

John is survived by his Sister Jan Arms ,Topeka Niece: Amy Kutzke (Vince) Topeka and Nephews Jason Arms Overland Park., Wade Arms Grove City Pa. Great Nephews Jaren and Jesse Kutzke, Topeka; A Great Niece, Trisha May Arms, and a Great Great Niece Lilly May Stovall ,Topeka.and many special cousins.

His parents and brother Alan Ray preceded him in death. Johns hobby was playing his piano and organ. He played all over the Kansas City area for Spiritual Organizations, Churches and privately. John was kind compassionate and generous to all he met. He lives on in the memories of his many friends who enjoyed lively conversations over a Cup of coffee filled with political savvy, wit and humor.
