John David Allen

John David Allen April 2nd, 1944, to December 26th, 2025, the world lost an American Patriot, a loving husband, and amazing father on December 26th, 2025. Known as Dave to his friends, and Doc to his military family, he left the earth at the age of 81.

After retiring from a career in the Air Force, Dave loved spending time traveling the world with his wife Vanita. While Dave lived many places in his life, to him, Vanita was his home no matter where she was. He loved his wife very much and reminded her of that daily. The special family trips and meals together meant everything to him as time together was what he valued most in life.

Dave loved playing golf and for years he and Vanita played several times per week together. He loved Alabama Crimson Tide football and NCAA Women's softball. If he was not home to watch it live it was recorded. He did not miss a game typically decked out wearing his Alabama gear. Dave loved Christmas from the tree to the lights, and all the decors. He especially loved the family gathering around the table for a special home cooked meal and the conversations that went on for a couple of hours. Dave loved his family and made them his priority.

Dave is survived by his wife Vanita Allen, his daughter Kristin Allen, his son James Armstrong, and his grandchildren.

Dave will be missed in ways words cannot express. It was an honor to know him, love him, and spend time with him. We shall see you in Heaven.
