Joel Lee Harper of Topeka, Ks grew his wings and left this earth to meet his Savior, Jesus Christ March 7th at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka. He was 68.

Joel was born January 26, 1951 in Topeka, Ks to Wesley S. Harper and Alice E. Harper. He is survived by 2 Sisters, Janice I. (Terry) Sann, Patricia L. Butler of Topeka, KS and brother Paul T. (Sherry) Harper Ault, Co, sister-in-law Patricia Harper, niece Crystal Harper Salisbury, Topeka, KS and Alicia M. Harper, Tx. nephews David W. Butler, Jeremy L. Sann both of Topeka, Ks, Sean T. (Amber) Harper and James T. Harper both of Tx. and several great nieces and nephews. Joel was predeceased by his parents and a brother, James W. Harper.

Joel lived in Topeka all his life. He liked to collect coins and records, at one time owning a used record store at 6th and Wayne St. in Topeka. Joel bought and sold many cars in his lifetime. He will be missed by his family and friends and best remembered for his quick wit and unique personality.
