Joann Reynolds Doty

JoAnn Reynolds Doty, 72 gained her angel wings on December 6, 2021 at The Midland Hospice house. JoAnn was born on July 31, 1949 to Ernest LaVerne and Aeva (Kinder) Reynolds in Maryville, MO.

JoAnn met her husband and love of her life, Donald Doty at East Topeka Jr. high school in 1963. They were joined in marriage on May 5, 1967 in Topeka, Ks. They had two sons, Donnie Lee and Jason Doty. Her sons were her entire world, they were very different from one another yet she loved them both with her whole heart.

JoAnn had  a creative soul who loved to paint, write, color, crochet, make various crafts and ALL THINGS BLING!  She used her talent to do nails as a nail tech for over 40 years. She graduated at the top of her class from American Academy of Hair Design in Topeka, Ks.  and had many beloved friends and clients throughout the years. She also enjoyed shopping, especially for purses. She was well known for her love of purses and bags. JoAnn had a giving heart and loved to buy gifts for loved ones and always put thought into what she was giving each person. She would do anything for those she cared for.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her oldest brother, Gary Reynolds, and her beloved son Donnie Lee. She is survived by her husband Donald Doty, son Jason (Melissa) Doty  "daughter" Ali May, her two grandchildren, Katie and Zachary Doty and great-granddaughter Blakely Brewer. Also surviving are brothers, Gene Reynolds and Jr. Godden. Her best friend, and sister in law Marcia Reynolds and many other friends and family members.

Graveside services and a celebration of life will be held at a later time and will be announced to family and friends.
