Joann Broadbooks

JoAnn Broadbooks, 85, went home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2016 at Winter Meadows in Topeka. She was born March 18, 1930 at Point View in Pawnee County, KS.

Her parents were Norris and Gladys (Frick) Campbell.

JoAnn married Galen Alva Broadbooks on Sept 5, 1948 in Radium KS & Galen preceded JoAnn in death on January 17, 1996.

JoAnn was a homemaker for most of her married life. She worked many years for Sweet Briar Clothing Store in Great Bend, KS. She and her husband, Galen, volunteered at the Elks Lodge in Great Bend and JoAnn donated much time and effort for the Republican Party while living in Topeka the last few years of her life.

JoAnn is survived by one son: Dennis Broadbooks (Joyce) of Wildwood, MO; and three daughters: Kathy Van Dam (Mike) of Topeka, KS; Teri Zink (Dennis) of Bushton KS; and Gail Barnard, Larned, KS. She has 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm at First Church of the Nazarene in Topeka, KS on Friday, January 29, 2016. The church address is 1001 SW Buchanan Street Topeka, KS 66604.
