Joan E. Rothwell

Joan E. (Dugger) Rothwell 81, of Gardner, passed away August 17th, 2015. Born April 20, 1934 to Aubrey Dugger & Florence (Watson) Dugger. Joan grew up in Olathe, KS, resided in Ottawa, KS and finally in Gardner, KS. Joan was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church & Altar Society, Ottawa, KS for many years and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ottawa, KS as well as many volunteer and charitable positions during her life. Joan's greatest joy was being the mother of 10 children. Mary Lynn (Craig) Kosinski, Emporia, KS, John Rothwell, Lawrence, KS, Teresa (Paul) Scott, Oklahoma City, OK, Elizabeth (Ron) Amyx, Columbus, KS, Mark Rothwell and Janice Chapman, Tonganoxie, KS, Timothy Rothwell, Cloquet, MN, Angela (Mark) Bonin, Checotah, OK, Veronica Rothwell, Gardner, KS, Kathy Rothwell and Bob Waters, Warsaw, MO, and Andrea (Arlen) Kleinsorge, Gardner, KS; as well as 30 grandchildren and over 30 great-grandchildren.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, former husband John T. Rothwell and granddaughter, Gabrielle.

A memorial service will be held Sept 19th, 2015 at 3pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ottawa, KS followed by a private Celebration of Life for family in Olathe, KS.

Contributions made be made in Joan's name to the Sacred Heart Church in Ottawa, KS or the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ottawa, KS.
