Jo Ann (Harris) Casebier, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024, in Topeka, KS, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 4, 1947, in Wamego, KS to Byron and Avis (Ayers) Harris. They later moved to Centralia, Ks in the early 50's. Jo Ann's vibrant spirit and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew her throughout her 77 years.

A graduate of Centralia High School, Jo Ann's journey led her to a fulfilling career with Southwestern Bell, where she excelled as a manager of the operators. Jo Ann's dedication to her work was matched only by her devotion to her family and her passion for her interests.

Her parents, her husband Richard Casebier, and her sister Vicki Harris, preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Buzz Harris (Rose) of Manhattan, KS; her son, Brian Casebier (Libby) of Tecumseh, KS; her grandson, Cody Casebier of Topeka, KS; and her granddaughter, Riley Hegwald (Seth) of Humbolt, KS. Family was the cornerstone of Jo Ann's life and of these family members was a source of immense pride and joy for Jo Ann, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Jo Ann's creative and generous spirit was most evident in her hobbies. She had an extraordinary talent for taking pictures of family and friends, capturing precious moments with her camera. These photographs often found their way into the scrapbooks she meticulously crafted, leaving a legacy of memories for her loved ones to treasure. Her enthusiasm for life was infectious, and it overflowed into her love for family reunions and the spectacle of fireworks. Jo found joy in the simple pleasure of being surrounded by loved ones, and her presence made every gathering brighter. Her laughter would often rise above the crackle of sparklers, and her smile was as illuminating as the fireworks that lit up the night sky.

Friends and family will remember Jo Ann for the warmth she exuded and the care she took in nurturing the relationships that mattered most to her. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she was always the first to lend a helping hand or offer a word of encouragement. She had a creative mind, constantly finding new ways to express her love for those around her, whether through her beautiful scrapbooks or the thoughtful gestures she showed to friends and family alike. Jo Ann's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared, the photographs taken, and the love that she spread so freely.

The family of Jo Ann Casebier would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all who have supported them during this difficult time. Jo Ann's life was a testament to the power of love and the bonds of family and friendship. Her life will be celebrated at First Congregational Church 1701 SW Collins Ave, Topeka, KS, 66604 on April 27, 2024, at 11:00. Inurnment at the Centralia Cemetery will be scheduled for a later day. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
