Jessica Amber McCracken, 44, of Topeka Kansas, passed away on February 8th, 2026.
Jessica was born on March 17th, 1981, in Knoxville Tennessee to Angela Moreland and Earnest McCracken. She later made her home in Topeka Kansas, where she built a life with family, friendship, laughter, and all the things that brought her joy.
She graduated from Topeka Highschool in 1999 and went on to study psychology at Colorado Technical University. Jess worked as a print and mail specialist at Mainline Printing as well as Blue Cross Blue Sheild. She was known by her friends and colleagues for her strong work ethic, loyalty, and kindness she showed to others.
Jessica had a vibrant and spunky personality and embraced the things that she loved unapologetically. She loved rock music and would listen to it anytime she could. She was also a huge fan of Jeffree Star and would express herself in make-up and beauty which brought her so much joy. In quieter moments, Jessica enjoyed crocheting, creating handmade pieces with patience and care. As many knew, Jess appreciated relaxing in her own way with weed, as a part of the simple comforts of life that were shared with friends and loved ones.
Above all, Jessica loved her family deeply. She shared a special bond with her sister, and best friend, Kristina, and her greatest pride and joy were her two sons, Matthew and Andrew Torres. Jessica also shared many years with her lifelong partner Timothy Torres before his passing a few years ago. The two of them built a life together and shared so many memories. Their bond remained an important part of Jessica’s life and story, and she carried his memory with her always.
Jessica is survived by her sister Kristina, her brother Thomas, her beloved sons Matthew and Andrew, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who she had such an impact on and who will miss her dearly.
Jessica lived life in her own beautifully authentic way, loving deeply, laughing loudly, and never pretending to be anything other than herself. And that fearless, expressive spirit will continue to shine through every memory she leaves behind
