Jerry D Stevenson

Jerry D Stevenson, 81, passed away on January 15, 2016 at Midland Hospice in Topeka, Kansas.

He was born July 20, 1934 in Council Grove, Kansas to William Ira and Sarah (Houdeshell) Stevenson.

Jerry married Beverly Ann Dains on September 1, 1956 at Council Grove, Kansas, she survives. Of this union two children were born; a daughter, Sandy and a son, Sky.

Jerry graduated from Council Grove High School in 1952. He entered the service in June of 1953 and served in Korea. He worked for KDOT for 38 years and returned to Council Grove after his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 121 and enjoyed wood working. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; great grandson, Anthony Robert Lilly, and sisters Velda (Red) Stone and Erma Hidecker.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; a daughter, Sandy Lilly and her husband Bob of Topeka; a son, Sky and his wife, Tammy of Council Grove, and five grandsons: Jason Lilly (wife, Alicia), Jeff Lilly (Melissa Harms), Cody Stevenson (Abby Banks), Tyson Stevenson (Marley Brown), and Skyler Stevenson; two great granddaughters: Marissa Lilly and Antonia Lilly; three great grandsons: Michael Lilly, Tate Stevenson and Mason Lilly.

Jerry requested to be cremated with no visitation or service. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
