Jerry Lee Satterfield

Jerry Lee Satterfield, known affectionately as "Satchmo" to his friends and family, passed away April 6th, 2024, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Ks. He was born December 14, 1954, at Newman Memorial Hospital, in Emporia, Kansas, to his mother Phyllis and his father John. Jerry grew up in Burlingame, Kansas.

A masterful paint and body man by trade, Jerry's hands were skilled in the art of restoration, bringing new life to everything he touched. His work was not just a job, but a passion, and his craftmanship was admired by all who had the pleasure of seeing it. He was also known to lend his talents to friends and neighbors in need.

Jerry's zest for life extended far beyond his professional endeavors. He was an avid NASCAR fan, finding joy and excitement in the roar of the engines and the thrill of the race. Fishing was another of Jerry's favorite pastimes, a testament to his patience and gentle spirit.

Above all, Jerry was a man who loved a good party. His sense of humor and his laugh was infectious, and his ability to joke around could light up any room. He was the life of the gathering, always ready with a funny story or a silly dance, bring smiles and laughter to everyone around him.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Phyllis and two daughters, Rachael and Ashley. He was preceded in death by his father John, his brother Mike.

In his passing, we are reminded of the joy Jerry brought into our lives and the ease with which he spread kindness and cheer. He was a beacon of light in the lives of many, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew him. Jerry Lee Satterfield's story is one of love, laughter, and a life enjoyed. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, April 22, 2024, at the Burlingame City Cemetery South on 56 turn left after W Morgan St. Burlingame, KS.
