Jerry Powell

Jerry Powell passed away October 13, 2023, surrounded by his family. Jerry was born on August 20, 1942, in Coffeyville, Kansas. He spent his formative years in Coffeyville except for a time in South America where his father worked in the oil industry. He was a graduate of Coffeyville High School and Wichita State University.

Early in his career, Jerry worked for the State of Kansas and City of Topeka in labor relations. Later he provided consulting and arbitration services to unions and management all over the Midwest.

He had many loves in his life. He was an avid hunter, golfer, boater and card player. But his real love was his wife, son, daughter and grandchildren. He loved and was loved.

Jerry is survived by his wife Ginger, son Michael Powell (Wendy), daughter Tisha Christian (Dave) and grandchildren Brock and Lanie Christian.

Burial services for family and friends will be Saturday October 21st 11:00 at Holy Trinity Mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 801 SW Westchester Rd.
