Jeanette was born on a farm in North Topeka along with her older brother Roger Lewis who has since passed. They were born to Lawrence Lewis and Lorene Ruth Lewis (Schaffer).

Jeanette and Roger grew up on the farm until their mother remarried to Leonard Lewis. They would move to California due to his job. Jeanette grew up in Long Beach California graduated from Jordan high married her high school sweetheart Richard Gary Reed.

They had a daughter, Terri Thornton.

Jeanette attended Long Beach Community College that would steer her career to Votech school of nursing. She graduated as a certified nurses aide. Jeanette would work many years in home health until she worked at Siearra Hospital in Fresno California. There she would meet her second husband Rayford McWilliams. They were together for 16 years when Raeford passed Jeanette and her mother would move to the country in Circleville Kansas. There she continued to work in home health caring for an elderly man, Milton, Dressler, and her mother.

Jeanette was not afraid of hard work or difficult jobs. She loved her animals, Mexican food and gardening which she continued with all of her walkers at the ready.

Jeanette had a deep faith and trust in her savior Jesus. Jeanette was ready for her new home without pain and illness.

Services for Jeanette be at Circleville Cemetery, date and time will be posted in near future to make sure both grandsons can attend.
