Jean Ann Schuster Tevis

Jean Ann Schuster Tevis, 80, died on May 30, 2024, in Topeka.

Jeani was a graduate of Topeka High, University of Texas at Houston, Emporia State, and post masters training from the Institute on Aging at the University of Wisconsin.

Topekans knew Jeani as the creative director of Topeka Shawnee County Public Library's Red Carpet Service for many years. Jeani delivered Meals on Wheels, receiving their Reuter award in 2008, and was also a member of Chapter CS PEO.

Preceding Jeani in death were her parents, Kansas Army National Guard Brigadier General Herman and Henrietta Bates Schuster, and her sister, Mary Gayle Diaz.

At Jeani's request, no service is planned. Jeani directed memorials be made to John Creek Scholarship Fund at Cottey College, 1000 W Austin Blvd, Nevada, MO 64772.
