Janice L. Smeltzer Wipperman

Janice L. Smeltzer Wipperman passed away on December 8th, 2016 at Stormont-Vail Hospital surrounded by her husband and loving family. Jan was born in Topeka, Kansason January 20, 1932 to Vivian O. Smeltzer and Beulah E. Smeltzer, who have proceeded her in death, a long with her brother Robert E. Smeltzer. Jan graduated from Topeka High School, and Clark's School of Business with a degree in data processing. She worked for WIBW News and Radio Station for 25 years.Jan was joined in Holy Matrimony on September 28th, 1951 to Alfred H. Wipperman Jr., at St. John's Lutheran Church in Topeka, Kansas. Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years Alfred H. Wipperman, Jr.; her children Stephen (Kristen) Wipperman , Deborah Gibbons and her fiancée Thomas Blindt, Kevin (Becky) Wipperman, Martha Gifford, and David (Ann) Wipperman.Jan and Al were blessed with 20 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Jan was a very caring, and giving person who was most proud of her husband, and family. Her special relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gave her much comfort, and strengththrough out her life. Jan will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know her. She is now in heaven with Jesus , and her family and friends who have proceeded her in death.
