Jane Morrissey

In a world where she could have been anything, she lived her entire life kind.

Jane Morrissey, 80, of Topeka, Kansas passed on July 16, 2023. Jane was born on March 05, 1943. Jane left the world peacefully with her devoted husband by her side after spending the last few days of her life surrounded by her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her sister Karen, mother Minnie, and father Frank. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years and caretaker Phillip Wallsmith; her three children: daughter Lori Stewart and husband Warren Stewart, son Bill Wempe and wife Suzy Wempe, and daughter Jill Klemz and husband Bill Klemz. She is also survived by her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Kelsey Stewart Moston and husband Michael Moston, Jacob Klemz, Ryan Klemz, Makenzie Wempe, and her great grandson Hunter Moston.

Jane is remembered by her family, friends and business colleagues alike as a friendly, enthusiastic and joyful woman who cared about others and challenged them to recognize and utilize their strengths, address their issues, celebrate their growth and embrace life.

People who read obituaries will always believe that Jane Morrissey died on July 16, 2023. But the people who shared her life, the people who learned from her how to live and how to love and how to laugh – they are where Jane Morrissey's life went. And as long as one of them lives and passes on what they gained from her, Jane Morrissey will never die.
