James Edward Rhoades Jr.

James (JR) Edward Rhoades Jr., 60, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 peacefully at the home of his cousin Marilyn Walters of Wakarusa, Kansas who was his care giver. JR was born in Springfield Missouri on May 14, 1957 to James E Rhoades (deceased) and Sue Ann Rhoades. He was married to Karen Tolbert Rhoades who proceeded him in death.

JR is survived by his mother Sue Ann Rhoades, brothers and sisters, Larry (Mary) Rhoades of Lawrence, Sandra (Tim) Coursen of Waverly, Sharon (Ron) Doole of Topeka, Gary (Kim) Rhoades of Topeka, and Robert (Peggy) Rhoades of Topeka. Also many nieces, nephews, other family and close friends. JR leaves behind his faithful black and white dog Christy.

JR was cremated and a private service will be held. The family ask that memorial contributions be made to the Topeka Rescue Mission, Salvation Army, Helping Hands Humane Society or Great Lakes Caring Hospice. For full obituary go to: www.midwestcremationsociety.com
