James Lee "Krum" Lorence

James Lee "Krum" Lorence, known affectionately to all as James, passed away on the 4th of August, 2024, at the age of 40. Born on September 14, 1983, in Hastings, Nebraska, James was the beloved son of Jerold Dean Lorence and Donna Sue Atherton Le Van. He left this world in Topeka, Kansas, and the cause of his untimely departure remains under investigation, leaving a community waiting for answers.

James, a man of keen intelligence, boundless creativity, and a loving heart, made an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew him. His passion for music and art was not just a hobby, but a central part of who he was, infusing his daily life with melody and color. His siblings, Brian Abbott, Randy Le Van, Ernie Le Van, sister Ashley Ingersoll, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, will forever cherish the countless memories of laughter and camaraderie they shared. James's significant other, Victoria Tidwell, stood by his side as a partner in every sense, navigating the joys and challenges of life together.

The pride and joy of James's life were his children, Florence Carner, Delilah Carner, Aireanna Lorence, Mackenzi Lorence, and Jessie Lorence. In them, he instilled his love for the arts, his intellectual curiosity, and his compassionate spirit. They will carry forward his legacy with the same strength and love that he demonstrated every day. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Garold and Janeen Lorence, and his daughter, Typhani Lorence, whose memories he held close to his heart.
