James Daryl Browning

James Daryl Browning, 72, Topeka, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021. Honoring his request, no services are planned.

Survivors include his wife Beverly of 53 years; daughter Gloria Gutfleisch (Brooks); grandchildren Madison and Gage; sisters Diane Levick (Bobby), Phyllis Jean Martin (Ed), Brenda Horton and brother Ron Browning (Margie) along with various cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by daughter Barbara Jo, sister Sharon, and brother Dennis.

Jim was born and raised in Holton, KS and graduated from Holton High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy.

He and Bev moved to Portland, Oregon in 1974 where he worked in the auto industry until retiring. They returned to KS in 2018 to be close to family.

Jim had a great love for animals and music.  Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the Helping Hands Humane Society, Topeka.
