Ida Marie Loppnow passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024, in home hospice, at Topeka, Kansas. She was born September 11, 1933, in Asher, Oklahoma. Ida attended high school in Paris, Texas. She obtained a Bachelor of Music from Stephen F. Austin State College, Nacogdoches, Texas, in 1954. In 1970, Ida went on to obtain a Master of Arts Education degree from Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana. She spent many years teaching music and elementary education, the bulk of which was within the Maconaquah School District, Indiana. When Ida retired from teaching, she worked as administrative support at Grissom Air Force Base, Bunker Hill, Indiana.

She married Robert Loppnow, on November 3, 1956, in Abilene, Texas. Robert was enlisted in the United States Air Force at the time, serving at Dyess Air Force Base near Abilene. They met in the base supply, where Ida was working at the time.

Ida and Robert joined Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Kokomo, Indiana in the 1960's and faithfully attended there throughout the years. After Robert's passing in 1998, Ida moved to a small house in Kokomo and continued her involvement with Our Redeemer, where she had many friends. She was pleased to be able to work at the church as a part-time church secretary.

Ida is survived by daughter Marilyn Hudson, daughter Tina Harrell, son Jonathan Loppnow, grandchildren Eric Hudson, Robin Hudson, Scott Harrell, Brian Harrell, Alicia Harrell, great grandchildren J.J., Calen, Daisy, Billie Jo, and daughters in love Karen Lemons and Debbie Vawter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1998, son Martin in 2022, brother Buddy in 1944, and brother Joseph in 1923.

An online memorial service will be streamed at a date to be determined. Ida will be laid to rest beside her husband in Galveston Cemetery, Galveston, Indiana, at a later time.

Many thanks are given to Midland Hospice, Topeka, Kansas, for their care and support which allowed Ida a peaceful and dignified passing at home with family.

Memorial donations, if desired, may be given to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Kokomo, Indiana.
