Herbert S. Reid, Iii

Herbert S. Reid, III, 73, of Russell, KS, formerly of Alexandria, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the Russell Regional Hospital.

He was born April 29, 1950. Herb grew up in Alexandria, VA and retired in Bunker Hill, KS to chase pheasants.

He served in Vietnam as a US Army helicopter pilot. Herb was an active member of the Black Gold Pheasants Forever Chapter and the proud coach of the Russell Youth Trap Team.

He is survived by his wife, Sheryl, of 32 years. Herb was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane Fowlkes and sister, Susan L. Fowlkes.

Cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
