Heidi Jo Stacer died on Fri, June 24, 2022, at Midland Hospice in Topeka, KS. Heidi was born to Robert & Barbara Metzger on May 2, 1962, the youngest of 5 daughters. She was preceded in death by her father and her sister Gay Anderson (Danny). She is survived by her husband, Andy Stacer, her mother and 3 of her sisters, Merry Magill (Ray), Melody Pollom (Alan) and Holly Anderson, her cousins Stephanie Cook, Steve Smith (Linda), Pat Smith and Kris Denton (Richard). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much and who loved her.
Heidi went to Seaman High School then Highland Community College and was a registered nurse's aide.
Heidi worked as a manager at Woody's Gas Express. She became well known and liked by customers and when asked about her job always said she loved her customers and looked forward to seeing them and hearing about their lives.
Heidi was a kind and gentle person who loved animals, cats especially, and gave them all singular attention. At one time she worked at the Topeka Zoo and volunteered at the Helping Hands Humane Society.
In lieu of a service it was Heidi's request that her ashes be spread in several locations important to her.
A memorial in Heidi's name has been set up at the Helping Hands Humane Society.
